Shree Ram

काँधे पर है तरकश जिनके , हाथ में कमान है ,
पितृ आदेश सर्वोपरि जिन्हें , रघुवंश अभिमान है । 

मर्यादा में जकड़े राजा , निर्णय लेके लाचार हैं  ,

सत्य के पर्यायी हैं , धर्म के आधार हैं ।

सत्ययुग में नरसिंह है तो द्वापर के घनश्याम हैं  ,

शत्रु के भी मन में रमें , ऐसे प्रभु श्री राम हैं ॥

कुछ मुड़े पीले पन्ने

वो काग़ज़ की नाव, आज फिर पानी पे चल गई,
वो चार आने की कंपट, आज चार आने में मिल गई,
कंचो की खन्न - खन्न से, आज फिर गलियारी खिल गई,
कुछ मुड़े पीले पन्नो को आज फिर से स्याही मिल गई ।

Here's a story behind mahatva (importance) of Shiva's bow for choosing the right king for Sita.

Shiva, the supreme tapasvi, had destroyed his hunger. So he sat atop a mountain of stone covered with snow, where no vegetation grew. Nature, taking the form of Shakti, said to him, 'Hunger distinguishes creatures alive from one which aren't. If you have no hunger, you should be called 'shava' (corpse)

महके इस क़दर कि गुलफ़ाम बन गए ,
बिख़रे इस क़दर कि नाकाम बन गए ,
रोटी को तरसे तो आवाम बन गए ,
अपने ही हक़ को हम हराम बन गए ।

Famous Telling
To avenge the humiliation caused to his sister Surpanakha, Ravana decided to abduct Sita and punish Ram and Lakshman. He sent a golden deer (Maricha) that so enchanted Sita that she asked Ram to capture it. When Rama did not return for a long time, worried and nervous Sita asked Lakshman to look for him.
